Cholesterol readings question

The first set suggests that the man could stand to make some lifestyle
changes that would raise HDL. He should consider engaging in aerobic
exercise on a regular basis, lower fat intake, and consider a glass of
red wine daily. The woman's lipid profile looks OK. There is room for
improving the HDL with aerobic exercise.

It means that to have the HDL greater than 55 in a man and greater than
65 in a woman may protect their hearts from coronary atheroslerosis,
which can eventually lead to a heart attack.

It means the ratio of total cholesterol divided by HDL is higher than
the normal range. This is high because HDL is lower than the normal
range.

LDL - bad cholesterol. we want this to be less than 130-160
HDL - good cholesterol. we want this greater than 35-45
