I have also had psoriasis for most of my life (over 40 years). I went through
a multitude of home remedies, and my best recommendation is a good dermatologist.
I am currently taking PUVA treatments (a drug--Oxoralen combined with UV-A radiation.
It is very effective and give me a Riviera suntan with the blessing of the doctor. I've
just started using Dovonex, and have mixed feelings about it. It has made the lesions
very dry and therefore sore.
The National Psoriasis Foundation is a great resource for much information. The most
important element is to keep a good attitude. We're stuck with this stupid disease
for the rest of our lives. It's a constant battle, but "beauty is only skin deep"--even if
the skin is sort of flakey. Best wishes!!! ... andrea
