I am being tested for PORPHYRIA.  I have Lupus and the Doc
wants to put me on Plaqinel (sp).  I was reading about the drug
in the PDR book, and it mentioned this disease.  So I mentioned
to the doc. as he gave me in prescription, that my mother had
this, (she died 15 years ago).  He said it was hereditary so he
is now testing me for Porphyria.

CAN ANY ONE TELL ME WHAT THIS IS?  I can't understand the
description in the PDR book.
