My father, over the last three years, has told me that he has
prostate cancer, leukemia, hepatitis, and an irregular heartbeat.
I asked him what the doctors are doing, and he just shrugged it
off (he doesn't like to take medicine or go to doctors). I told
my mother that I was concerned, and she said he's "holding steady."
After reading recently about Bill Bixby's death from prostate
cancer, I've become increasingly worried. What is the prognosis
for my father's various ailments?
