I had a stroke approx. 4 years ago that was most likely due to a dissected
internal carotid artery, and I was just told that it may have been caused by an
underlying condition called fibromuscular dysplasia (not sure about the
spelling). I haven't been able to find any information on this condition. Is
anyone familiar with it? What exactly is it, is it treatable, and how could
this have made me more susceptible to a stroke/dissected artery? Also, I'd
greatly appreciate any pointers to articles, etc., discussing this condition.
