The PDR is published on CD-ROM.  Unfortunately, it is easily accessed
only under DOS, and only through the proprietary DOS program which
provides the user interface to the database.  The CD-ROM itself is an
ISO9660 filesystem, but it contains a single monolithic file which is
a jumble of binary bookkeeping data and the PDR text.  I don't know if
you can get the data on the exact format of this database file.

I have it mounted on my Sun workstation and it's quite unrewarding trying to
use EMACS to search for drug entries. :-)

The PDR is also available on tape designed to be read by a database
program.  We've put it online at Beth Israel hospital in Boston.
I can supply further information about this if anyone is interested.
I have no connection with Medical Economics other than using their
tapes.
