Could someone enlighten me on the genetic causes of Tay-Sachs disease and on
the various possible treatments/therapies for it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tay-Sachs is mostly found among people of Jewish extraction, though I
believe it is also found among the Cajun population (Louisiana).  There
is no effective therapy.  It is universally fatal, usually by about age 4.
