 LIVER Problem

My wife (50 years old and in good health) had a liver test where the GGT results
were 84.  We were informed that normal was the range of 0-69.  What can you
tell us about this GGT factor?  What impact would this have on a person, the
treatment, etc.  No, she does not drink.

Thanks in advance
Rob

Rob,

If all the other liver tests done as a typical panel were normal this
problably means nothing.  Medical test normal ranges are set to inculde
95% of "normal" individuals, therefore 5% of also perfectly normal
people will be outside this range.

Certainly she needs to review this with her doc to be sure.
