 Multiple Sclerosis

Greetings.  I am a 38 year old male with multiple sclerosis.  I was diagnosed
with the disease in December 1982 after a full year of having a variety of
symptoms ranging from numbness in the extremities to weakness in the legs.
Since then I have lost sight in my left eye as a result of optical neuritis
(I have since recovered sight in that eye, thank God) and my left leg has been
paralyzed twice.

I have a number of other symptoms, each more exciting than the other.  I learned to keep my sanity by looking at the humour in an otherwise tragic
situation.

If there is anyone out there who is interested in sharing experiences (funny
or not), I would be most appreciative.

I have found that talking and laughing about MS has a therapeutic effect.
