I see, my friend's doctor has no idea, it has been a bother for three
years now, and it usually occurs while lying down, it happens 100 to 200
times per day.  Usually whem my friend is under stress or has something
on mind.  I deprives sleep and sometimes hurts the ear.

Do you have or know anyone with this experiance?
This is a high priority question and my friend is in desperate need of
answers or suggestions!!!

        He gets checked for TMJ--can happen if he grates his jaw and the
structures start to move around.  Transient high {*filter*} pressure might
also do it.

Also critical to consider:
-serous otitis media (fluid in the middle-ear); this causes an increased
    transmission of the cardiac and/or carotid sounds and is generally benign
-underlying (mild) anxiety disorder, with recent increase; this is a *BIOLOGIC*
    problem, and should be dealt with as such (ie-lots of folks refuse to
    consider this because of the 'psychiatric' overtones of the name, but don't
    let that abort consideration of this fairly common problem).
