 CFV: sci.med.otolaryngology

FIRST CALL FOR VOTES (of 2)
               unmoderated group sci.med.otolaryngology

Newsgroups line:
sci.med.otolaryngology  ENT medicine and surgery in general.

Votes must be received by 23:59:59 UTC, 10 Nov 1995.

This vote is being conducted by a neutral third party.  For questions
about the voting process contact the votetaker.  For questions about the
proposed group contact the proponent.

RATIONALE: sci.med.otolaryngology

At present there is no newsgroup dedicated to the discussion of otolaryngo-
logical medicine or head and neck surgery.  For ENTs and others interested
in otorhinolaryngology, head, and neck surgery few resources are currently
available on the Internet.  Most of the information concerning this topic
in sci.med is lost in the majority of other news.  The group
sci.med.otolaryngology will help to fill this void by providing a forum for
exchanging ideas and information pertaining to ENT medicine.

CHARTER: sci.med.otolaryngology

The scope of the proposed group sci.med.otolaryngology should cover
     - all pathology affecting ear, nose, throat, head, and neck
     - diagnostic and surgical techniques
     - diagnostic and therapy off dizziness, hearing loss,
and defects of speech, language, and voice
     - patient education
     - practice management
     - ENT medical education and certification
     - instruments and equipment
     - case-discussion with related medical disciplines
(e.g. dermatology, neurology, odontology, ophthalmology, psychiatry)
as this is not possible in sci.med or other newsgroups

END CHARTER.

HOW TO VOTE

Erase everything above the top "-=-=-=-" line and erase everything
below the bottom "-=-=-=-" line.  Do not erase anything between these
lines and do not change the group names.

Give your name on the line that asks for it. For each group, place your
vote in the brackets next to the group name.  A check mark or X in the
brackets will generate an invalid vote.  If you want to change your vote
later, you may vote again, but only the latest vote will be counted.  Don't
worry about spacing of the columns or any quote characters (">") that your
reply inserts.

Just Replying to this message should work, but check the "To:" line.
