Sax's Dangerous Properties of Industrial Materials (van Nostrand Reinhod,
New York, 8th edition 1992) contains the following summary on the toxic
properties of hydrogen peroxide:
Moderately toxic by inhalation, ingestion and skin contact. A corrosive
irritant to skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Human mutation data reported.
Questionable carcinogen with experimental tumoric data. A very powerful
oxidizer.
