I'm wondering if a person who is generally lethargic, and also who does not
have a reaction to stimulants such as caffeine, could be suffering from
an "organic" depression.  Possibly a problem with their adrenergic system
causing beta-adrenergic receptor supersensitivity?  According to what I've
read this receptor sensitivity is most likely a major cause of depression.

to have thought up that quip!
