What kind of reflux ? Gastro-esophageal and/or duodeno-gastric
(biliary) reflux ?

Referring to surgery without any attempt to handle it conservatively
is crude, I think.

I had several patients with GERD - without any bladder problem.
The association between the gastrointestinal and urinary tract smooth
muscle motor dysfunction sound plausible - both disorders being
functional.
Have you ever tried some prokinetic {*filter*} like cisaprid (e.g.
Coordinax/Astra) ? The problem is that GERD should be treated not only
with prokinetic preparation but to reduce acid attack in the esophagus
with strong blocking of gastric acid synthesis (e.g. omeprazole,
Prolosec/Astra) as well.
[I am not a sales representative of Astra ! In Hungary these two
chemical entities are offered by the swedish company only]
