Over the last couple of years I have met some individual that have a ratio of total cholesterol to high density lipoproteins (chol/HDL) that is below the normal range. At first thought, an individual might think that this is good, cholesterol are low-HDL are high. However, all of the people seemed to have dieted themselves into a very low muscle mass. Question: Could this "abnorally" low reading be good as far as heart disease is concern, but bad for some other aspect of their health?
