Titanium is also used in prostheses, according to my references (I am a medical
transcriptionist).
There was also mention in your message, in the subject line, regarding metal in
the body and MRI. My SO had two Harrington rods implanted at the age of 16 and
Luque plates placed two years ago. He has undergone two MRI procedures without
incident, one before and one following placement of the Luque plates.
