Okay, does anyone know what the best thiong is to put on Sunburn??  I've
heard aloe, vitamin E, I mean there has to be one thing that is like,
the thing you have to put on it in order to make it better.
I rarely got sunburn until last year.. I don't know if it's my skin
that's getting worse or if it's the depletion of the O-zone....

Aloe plant.  If you have an aloe plant, cut up several of the leaves and
smear the liquid on your sunburn.  I did this once after a very severe sun
burn and I didn't peel.  It doesn't smell very good but it works.

Hi Kerry,

The best thing for a sunburn it to avoid catching them in the first
place by using a good suntan lotion!

Failing that,  I use vineager on my son with good results.

Hope this helps!

Dear Kerry!

Sunburn is a skin birn and should be treated like any other 1:sr degree skin
burn - BY COOLING IT DOWN, preferrably with clean, cold water for at least 20
minutes!

good luck

: Okay, does anyone know what the best thiong is to put on Sunburn??

I got a horrific burn a few years back after a day in the sun when I'd
neglected to cover a few spots with sunblock (most notably the tops of
my feet, since I'd thought I was to be wearing shoes).  When I got home
I lined up every remedy I'd ever heard of and tried each one over the
next few days.  The ONLY thing that relieved the pain was: vinegar.

It also seemed to prevent the burn from feeling - something I'd resigned
myself to expecting.

YMMV.

A sunburn is inflammatory and therefor hydrocorticone 1% cream is a
recommended treatment.

Best yet is good use of a surscreen so that you do not burn.

All tanning ages and damages the skin.  Skin cancer is a growing
concern.

Thanks, I hope it helps too.  The day I got it, I watched the weather
report, and it said, cloudy witha good chance of rain.  More like, sunny
90 degrees.  I was using vitamin E, and to tell you the truth, it's
still partly there.  I'l try your solution!!  Thanks again.

Picking up on your closing sentence ... you might need to establish that
you are not using a substance which has caused your skin to have a greater
sensitivity to sunlight or UV.

Some medications have a warning about an increased skin sensitivity to
sunburn, some oils cut down the reflection from the body so allowing you
to tan faster (i.e., burn faster if not tanned) - I think coconut oil is
one - and I have heard a caution about eating a lot of parsley and the
increased sensitivity to sunlight it can cause. (But don't ask me how much
is 'a lot'!)

True, aloe vera does work. Try taking 400Mg of Motrin.
