PA programs / other OB/GYN careers?

PA programs / other OB/GYN careers?

I'm sure some of this has been covered before, so if there is a FAQ for this
group, could someone please point me to it?

I am interested in some sort of a career in the OB/GYN field, but at
my age (33), and with no background in the hard sciences, I think that
medical school is a bit out of reach.  I was wondering about what
sort of training and background is required to be a Physician's Assistant.
Also, are there other careers in OB/GYN that you could suggest?

My background is in liberal arts and computer science, so I am obviously
looking at going back to school, if I do pursue this interest.  I have
been interested in medical matters since I was a child, watching "Marcus
Welby, MD" and "Medical Center" on TV.

Also, if anyone is familiar with any PA or related types of programs
in the Madison, Wisconsin area, I'd appreciate any information.  I don't
currently live in that area but hope to in the next year or two.

I apologize for the anonymous posting, but I don't particularly
want to share these future ambitions with my current colleagues.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
