A friend of mine (Caucasian, female, 25 yrs) has just been diagnosed
as having 'Takayashu's Disease' and I would like to know more about
its nature, progression, treatment and possible outcomes.

Who can help me? Everybody I've spoken to so far says that it's very
rare - and that's about all.
