Gastroesophageal reflux but NOT acid reflux

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with someone having
gastroesophageal reflux without acid reflux.  I have had this problem for
years, hich is clearly linked to a mild anxiety disorder that I have.
Basically, at times the contents of my stomach come back up my into my throat
and can remain ther for long periods of time (12 hours?).  It happens more
often right after a meal but it can happen on an empty stomach too.  For years
I thought it was simply acid reflux and I began taking high doses of pepcid AC,
which helped a little, leading me to believe tht at least some of the contents
is acid.  however, I NEVER have heartburn, nor does this chronic problem appear
to have been "eating away" at my espohagus or throat.  Either I have an
incredibly strong esophagus or the contents are not really that acidic.

I've read a lot about the medication called Propulsid, which increases gastric
emptying and could help no matter what the contents are, however the way it
works is similar to the way an anti-anxiety medication I took works, and I had
a very bad reaction to that med that I don't want to duplicate.  I guess my
question i is there any less potent (perhaps over the counter or even herbal)
medication that could help with esophageal motility?

Please respond by email if possible as this newsgoup overloads pretty quickly.
