Not real useful advice when "that" is bending one's legs.

 Knee problem: What's overuse?
I have a painful left knee condition which started after
a 75 mile bike ride last August. After not riding for several months,
and taking it easy while exercising, the problem persists. The pain
only starts after exercising for a while or riding 20-30 miles.
I do believe that I must have had this problem for a long time
because I've felt my left knee to be weaker, and that particular
ride must have finally injured something.

My doctor examined my knee recently and said that the three obvious
problems associated with an injured knee were not the cause of my problems.
An X-Ray came out normal. He said it's "probably from overuse". What does
overuse mean? I'd like to know a bit more about this topic before
I make an appointment to see him again.

Thanks
