A growing number of HIV-positive friends and acquaintances are beginning
urine therapy (drinking their own urine). Most of these people have
eschewed all conventional therapies, although some are on a number of {*filter*}.

Is there any data supporting this therapy? Is there any harm in it? Is
the harm greater if one is taking a number of chemotherapeutic agents
(AZT etc..?)   Thanks.

In my files at our office I found one article on Uropathy from the Being
Alive newsletter, March 1994. The fellow that wrote the article (Roy
Buckman) says you can call him at 213-850-8759. He mentions the following
books on the subject: The Water of Life by J.W. Armstrong, Urine Therapy
by Dr. Beatrice Barnett, Urine Therapy by Dr. John F. O'Quinn, and The
Miracle of Urine Therapy by Barnett and Adelman which has a special
