First, an aside. There *are* diseases that affect the iris.
For example, Wilson's disease causes a light halo on the
outside of the iris. (Someone correct me if I remember this
wrong.)
Iridology, however, maps parts of the iris to various organs
in the body, looking for clues to the health of these organs
in the striation and coloring of the correlate parts of the
iris. It has no scientific basis.
