Diaphram or IUD?  I could understand IUD but a diaphram doesn't induce
{*filter*} by any means that I'm aware of.

Just curious, not contentious.

MD+Actually, it's an old fashioned name for a suppository.

A pessary as I know it is a plastic coated device inserted in the
{*filter*} to support a uterus which is dropping down out of the {*filter*}.
That term is called uterine prolapse.
They look like a twisted wire sort of like a mobius strip but not
exactly.

I do not know if a pessary was the term used for a suppository or
a diaphram in a bygone era.
