A friend of mine, about 35, male,
has been hospitalized for bone cancer at the knee
(osteosarcoma, say the rumours).

The Encyclopedia Britannica is very discouraging
on cures (18 month lifetime, it says), but on
the other hand, it has been written over 15 years
ago. Are there any new types of therapy,
perhaps of chemotherapy, with a higher chance of
success, in the meantime ?

Any information would be much appreciated.
