EN16S Steel Specification

 EN16S Steel Specification

I need to fabricate a couple of studs for a British motorcycle restoration.
The original workshop manual (1973 Norton Commando) lists EN16S as the stud
material.  These studs are used to bolt the 3 piece crankshaft together
(which are spec'ed to be made of EN16).

Is EN16S meaningful in the US today, if not, what steel would I tell a
machinist to use as an equivalent?  Any help would be most appreciated.

TIA,

Mark Harrington
