Please help me out with a paraphrase of the term "ais am". A friend of
mine is doing some research in the field of initiation rites where the
term is used as a noun, quite often also in premodifying (attributive)
position and always italicized. The author (her guess) might be either
Anthony P. Cohen or a certain Mr/Ms Bimin. It might be a relatively
narrow technical term of limited circulation.
